Procedures for Lightning Verification What the adjuster needs to do to set-up the claim with A.C.E.1.Remove ALLdamaged equipment. A.C.E. will pick up ALL damaged or replaced equipment.2. Since equipment is damaged, A.C.E. will normally have to cut it open to examine. If the equipment is cut open, it cannot be placed back in service.3. Have equipment moved to a place where it can be accessed (on driveway, near the road, outside a fenced area, to the repair facility).4.Label the equipment: “To A.C.E., and the policyholder’s last name.” If the equipment is outside, also state “Not for trash pickup.” The equipment can be labeled with a Sharpie Marker or the information can be written on a piece of paper and taped to the equipment.5.Fax, e-mail or use our web site (aceForensics.com) to transmit the loss and pickup information to A.C.E. Note: If you use the web assignment form, you will receive a reply e-mail within approximately four (4) business hours from the sent time. This e-mail will contain the original information which is an acknowledgment that we are working on that claim. 6.You will get a report on the claim by fax, e-mail or mail.7.A.C.E. has developed several methods for shipping equipment.
